Directions to Casa Prana Yama

We are a 40 minute drive from the nearest international airport, Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo International Airport (ZIH). Once you’ve arrived at the airport, you can exchange your native currency at a currency exchange kiosk. There are also ATMs at the airport, should you need to withdraw cash. When you are ready to leave the airport, we recommend the following ways to get to Casa Prana Yama:

Via rental car

Leaving the airport, drive about 30 minutes North on Highway 200, until you see a road sign for “Playa Troncones”. Turn left, and follow this road, which will take you through the town center. You will shortly hit a “T” in the road where you will see the beach in front of you. Turn RIGHT and drive about 3 KM along the beach road. After passing “Amor Tropical” on your left, you’ll shortly see a fork in the road – you will turn left onto the dirt road here (you can spot the sign for Casa Prana Yama on a post, along with several other signs). Follow the road for roughly 100 meters and you will find Casa Prana Yama on your left, on the beach-facing side.

Via taxi

Upon exiting the airport, there is a designated taxi area where taxi drivers will be waiting. There is no need to hail a cab – simply tell the taxi representative at the stand that you’d like to go to Troncones, and pay him directly. He will escort you to the next available taxi driver and instruct the driver of where to go. A taxi costs roughly 1300 pesos or 70 USD.

NOTE: We encourage guests who intend to do any cooking during their stay, or those who have dietary restrictions, to purchase any needed groceries at the “Commercial” supermarket, which is nearby the airport and within the city of Zihuatanejo. There is a full size refrigerator and ample pantry space available to you during your stay.
